A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Elizabeth Southern grew up fascinated by seeing historic homes in her neighborhood co-exist with the new construction spreading toward Nashville. After graduating from Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering, Elizabeth moved to the central corridor of St. Louis which she has called home for over 20 years.
A licensed professional engineer in the state of Missouri, Elizabeth began her career in the engineering design business before moving to Missouri to pursue a career in commercial construction. After over 10 years of commercial experience she moved over to residential construction. It was the combination of her construction background and a lifelong interest in home design that led Elizabeth to Dielmann Sotheby’s. Her ability to see the “bones” of a house helps buyers realize the potential in the structure, allowing them to envision turning the house into their home.
When she is not helping clients with their real estate needs, Elizabeth can be found in the audience of her older son’s performances or on the sidelines cheering her younger son in his athletic pursuits. An active volunteer in the St. Louis community since her arrival, she currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Woman’s Exchange of St. Louis, on the boards of the Service Bureau and Shooting Star Productions while also volunteering at her church and her sons’ school.
